Explicit Brewing LLC is currently a craft beer website dedicated to progressive and innovative news in the craft beer industry. Our beginnings in the craft beer world started in 2005 after Josh won a college art competition by creating a plaster sculptor in the middle of the night drunk on a variety of craft brews. He took his winnings and bought home brewing equipment and hasn't looked back. Explicit Brewing currently has a diverse set of skills and ideas that we look forward to share in our business plan. The Team currently: Josh Koenigs- Owner and head of business operations, Josh holds a BA in Economics from Knox College and an MBA from the University of Iowa’s Tippie School of Management. Josh has a diverse professional background both in the US and abroad in strategic marketing, sales strategy, marketing communication planning, and Six Sigma process improvement. When not working, Josh finds plenty of time for cooking exotic dishes, seeing live music, playing music, following the Milwaukee Brewers, and playing a variety of sports especially skiing, Frisbee, and baseball.
Ross Koenigs- Owner and head of brewery operations, Ross holds a BA in Anthropology from Beloit College and is currently pursuing his brewing diploma from UC Davis’ Brewmaster program. Ross’ professional experience is in beer sales for Specialty Beverage of Wisconsin where he was a top sales rep for many top craft breweries including Two Brothers, Founders, and Bells. When not working, Ross finds plenty of time for skiing, fishing, following hockey, and listening to metal music.
